yooBulgaria's man on the ground is Tim Ashton. Project Director Tim is an accomplished and experienced project manager and engineer and long-standing member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Upon gaining a degree in Civil Engineering Tim has worked extensively in the UK, Middle East and Africa on projects from £6m to £130m.

Tim spent most of his career with Taylor Woodrow before joining Morrison Construction in 2001 and had responsibility for multi-site infrastructure projects with a combined value of £20m.

Tim grew up in the Middle East and from an early age spent a majority of his time on-site as his father also worked in the construction industry.  It seemed that this international lifestyle was a taste of what was to come for Tim who has relocated with his young family for numerous projects over the years, including a period in the Caribbean.

In 2006 Tim moved from the Caribbean again to sunny climes in Bulgaria with his wife Bethan and two young children Ellen (9) and Morgan (6) to manage the yooBulgaria build.

Tim and his family are enjoying Bulgarian life and are now permanent residents of Varna.  The children are in a Bulgarian speaking school where their grasp of the language is quite incredible and when not on-site Tim is most pleased to be able to still catch a Newcastle United game on the TV. Despite his travels he is still a Geordie at heart!
